LA BERGERIE DE MARTEL: DORDOGNE

The "Bergerie de Martel" is a semi detached restored  barn set on a hillside in a very peaceful setting with great views, within easy reach of Saint Cyprien a market town. The "gite" is also ideally placed for tennis  (4 Km), 18 hole golf course (5 Km), canoeing, & many other outdoor sports.

It is in a very secluded position with great      views     overlooking    the
Dordogne valley. It is within 20 minutes reach of most of the historic & tourist sites of the Dordogne. It is within easy reach of  Les Eyzies (National Prehistoric museum & prehistoric caves), and the medieval city of  Sarlat. 

The semi detached barn was restored to its former glory in 2000 & 2001, it is built on two levels with direct access on both levels with an indoor staircase and outdoor steps. The "gite" has two very large pebble terraces overlooking  yhe Dordogne valley  & a garden . A short path leads  to the 11 x 5 meter floodlit swimming pool. The pool is very well placed with a maximum of sunlight (average water temperature July & August : 27 °). The pool is  (1m 20…..1m 80 Deep) with built in roman steps &  (1m75) high fence with an iron gate (security for young children), loungers , parasols & bathing towels  are provided. The pool is only  shared with the owners .
